A great alternative to buying wine and beer is to bottle your own. Oak Barrel Wines is a full service beer and wine making Coquitlam store. Don’t be discouraged by how much work is involved – you simply order and pitch in the yeast and return six to eight weeks later to bottle. We can supply you with clean wine bottles if you don’t have enough. Costs include corks, shrink caps and labels.

Oak Barrel Wines has access to five of the best wine suppliers who provide winemakers with the best materials to make their wines. Together we have access to countless brands, varieties, regions and price ranges – after all – Variety is the Spice of Life!

Our wine making Coquitlam process is very simple:

• Pick the wine you want to make. We have many to choose from, including great tasting whites such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling; reds such as Merlot, Shiraz, and Amarone; Sparkling Wines, Ciders, Coolers, and Beers.
• Mix the contents into a large container. You start the fermentation process by sprinkling yeast into the ingredients. This only takes 5-10 minutes.
• Our staff at Oak Barrel Wines will handle all the intermediate processing steps so that you will have the perfect wine – steps include stabilizing, clarifying and filtering to prepare it for bottling.
• After four, six, or eight weeks, depending upon the kit you chose, you return to our premises to bottle and cork your wine. This process is usually completed in 15-20 minutes per batch.

We specialize in oak barrel aging! Many of our customers’ favourite wines are done in oak barrels. We have 20 barrels that rotate year round based on customer demand.
